Last saturday I took part to the 22nd sketchcrawl in Chinatown in San Francisco. It was a great day. Unfortunately we could not stay the whole time. Here are the drawings I did that day and also a link to a great video (where I can be seen saying something extremely witty. ahah I'm so funny) shot by the multi talented Goro :

we're in March 09. I have not posted anything on my blog in almost 5 months!! how pathetic... On the other hand, we're done with book one for ST, our current project. We're working on the covers of the whole serie and we will then ramp up on book two. We now have colored pages for book one, done by Hillary Sycamore our colorist. I'll post some images in the coming days...

Uyen and I participated in a fundraiser to save the totoro forest in japan and each of us created a piece of artwork for the occasion. Each piece will be auctioned off and then exposed at the SF cartoon museum (yeaah). here is the link to the event's website and blog :

you'll find a lot of really cool artwork there...

and a finished page of our current project. Uyen and I finished roughly a third of the book which is a lot of work but also a lot of fun. thanks to a slightly less aggressive schedule we were happy to be able to spend a bit more time on the pages. The first book should come out in fall 2009 if I'm not mistaken.
